Getting Started with Group Classes
A Group Class is an organizational structure used to collect similar Groups together. Both Groups and Groups Classes can be public and Member-facing. Group Classes are intended to make it easier for Members to navigate through the available Groups. Marketers who use Groups will typically make the Groups accessible on their website or app, organize the Groups into various Group Classes, and allow Members to join or leave Groups as desired. Members can also see information about the other Members in a Group.
For more information on Groups, see Getting Started with Groups.
Note: Groups can also be organized into Group Categories. Group Categories are typically used in conjunction with Loyalty APIs to control what Groups get displayed on your website or app. For more information, see Getting Started with Group Categories.
Access
The Group Classes screen is used to view, create, and manage the Group Classes in your loyalty program. To access the Group Classes screen, select Members from the top navigation bar, then select Groups > Group Classes from the side navigation menu.
Exports
Loyalty supports only Standard Exports for exporting Group Classes. For more information, see Export Group Classes.
You can also use a Standard Export to export the Groups assigned to a Group Class. For more information, see Export Groups from a Group Class.
Imports
The platform does not support importing Group Classes. That is, you can't create new Group Classes in the platform by means of an import.
However, the platform does allow you to import Groups into an existing Group Class. See Import Groups into a Group Class for more information.
